Where Education Is Actually Going

Personalisation in Corporate Training Is Mostly a Lie

A white lab coat hangs on a wooden chair in a dimly lit, shadowy office space.

Adaptive learning paths. Personalised content recommendations. AI that adjusts difficulty in real time.

Sounds incredible. In a twenty-minute compliance module, it's mostly theatre.

Real personalisation in training isn't an algorithm deciding whether to show you paragraph A or paragraph B based on your pre-test score. That's a settings menu wearing a lab coat.

Real personalisation starts upstream. Who's creating the course? Do they know the audience's actual context? Are the scenarios set in a generic office or in the specific kind of workplace the learner recognises? Is the language pitched at the right level - not too academic, not patronising?

This is a design problem, not a data problem. And it's why we built CourseAgent to let people create course variants - adjusted for region, regulation, language, audience - without rebuilding from scratch. Nineteen languages, one click. Every section type, every quiz, every piece of feedback. Independently editable. That's closer to real personalisation than any adaptive learning engine I've seen.
